"Our Movements Are Loud", produced by Bridge Radio, commissioned for Glossary of Common Knowledge 2021’s seminar on the theme of Subjectivisation, co-organized by HDK-Valand Academy – Arts and Design, University of Gothenburg, L’Internationale Online and Moderna Galerija in Ljubljana. The partners engage a fluid network of listening sites – Radio Alhara in Betlehem, Bridge Radio in Copenhagen and Radio Student in Ljubljana where provocations on the relations between essentialism and subjectivisation may be positioned and disseminated, thereby offering widened greater accessibility and geographical reverberance.
"Our Movements are Loud" has been produced collectively by people with and without Danish citizenship. They are linked to each other through their experience of the asylum system in Denmark.
The radio play consists of different perspectives, positions and voices that coincide in a story about the fight against expulsion. These interwoven stories take place in an imaginary scenario and are told by activists working inside and outside the asylum camps.
The stories in the radio play are based on real events that have taken place in asylum camps, airplanes and in larger protests that The Bridge Radio and its network has participated in.
The process of creating the radio play started with a workshop in writing and drama for radio with writer Athena Farrokhzad, director Saga Gärde and sound designer Arash Pandi.
Contributors:
Texts and voices: Laila, Serafin, Cedric, Barly, Kirstine, Arash, Nanna, Arendse, Shakira, Fayeza, Carina, Nanna, Kathrine and Allan.
Sound recordings from the Bridge Radio Archive: Quotes by Audre Lorde, Toussaint L’Ouverture, Nicholas De Genova and Bertolt Brecht.
Radio drama workshop: Athena Farrokhzad and Saga Gärde.
Recordings and editing: The Bridge Radio.
Sound design: Arash Pandi.
Broadcast at L’Internationale Online Screening Program from 10 May to 10 August 2021, as part of the Glossary of Common Knowledge Seminar at HDK-Valand in Gothenburg, May 10 til May 12, 2021.

Open Call – School of Common Knowledge
MSU (Zagreb), Van Abbemuseum (Eindhoven), MG+MSUM (Ljubljana), ZRC SAZU (Ljubljana) and L'Internationale invite applications for the new School of Common Knowledge (SCK) to be held in Zagreb and Ljubljana 24–29 May 2024. The School of Common Knowledge draws on the network, knowledge and experience of the L’Internationale museum confederation. Its ambition is to be both nomadic and situated, looking at specific cultural and geopolitical situations while exploring their relations and interdependencies with the rest of the world. The SCK is built on the basis laid by the Glossary of Common Knowledge project initiated by Zdenka Badovinac and Moderna galerija (Ljubljana) and continues its co-learning methodology.
