Sara Buraya Boned

Sara Buraya Boned is a cultural worker, transfeminist and network weaver. She works at the Museo Reina Sofía, where she started as assistant in the Collections Department (2009-2011). She is Head of Museo Tentacular (Tentacular Museum), a department of the Study Centre at the Museo Reina Sofía, where she has been working in different roles, sustaining cultural programs, public activities and collaboration networks since 2013.

Sara was the project leader of L’Internationale (2020-23). She is a member of the editorial board of L’Internationale Online (since 2018), where she has co-edited the publications Towards a Collective Study in Times of Emergency (2024), Stories and Threads. Perspectives on Art Archives (2022), Degrowth and Progress (2020) and Feminisms (2018). As part of her political and cultural practice, she is a member of the Institute of Radical Imagination and the assembly of Museo Situado. She has also been part of the autonomous projects and collectives including somateca, Calipsofacto, Archivos Comunes, Chantal amongst others.
