Amanda Macedo Macedo

Amanda Macedo Macedo is a PhD candidate in Theatre Arts and Performance Studies at Brown University. Her research explores how contemporary artists in the Americas use film, performance, sound, and installation to challenge extractive capitalism, ecological devastation, and imperial violence, drawing on decolonial aesthetics and environmental humanities. She is engaged in curatorial and public-facing work, and her latest writing appears in ASAP/Review, and the American Ethnologist blog.
