Hazal Özvarış

Hazal Özvarış studied political science at Boğaziçi University and began her journalism career as an editor at the online newspaper T24, later conducting weekly interviews and serving as managing editor. She was among the founding members of P24, the Platform for Independent Journalism. After completing her master’s in political science at the University of Gothenburg as a Swedish Institute scholar, she worked at Anadolu Kültür. Özvarış is the presenter of the podcast series Adalet Atlası [Justice Atlas] and editor of the accompanying publication (İletişim, 2023). Her interviews have been collected in Kayıp Medyanın İzinde: 2012-2018 [In Search of Lost Media: 2012-2018] (P24 Medya Kitaplığı, 2018). Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Research Architecture at Goldsmiths, University of London, focusing on the stories of women who were forcibly disappeared.
