Yeongseo Jee
Yeongseo Jee (they/she) is a multidisciplinary artist. They are interested in inter-textual circulations, which they translate concurrently through writing, performance, video, and installation. In these spaces, they explore the relationship between bodies and environments as sites where ways of seeing can be transformed — weaving together intimate stories with both academic and non-academic references.
To question the asymmetrical power relations embedded in the term 'international' as it is used in art education — in museums, art schools, and other cultural institutions shaped by a Western-centric perspective — they co-founded the collective Union Quoi? International.e in 2022 and continue to contribute to its collective study and actions.
After studying graphic design at Hongik University in South Korea (2019), they earned a Master’s degree from Beaux-Arts de Paris–Cergy (2024), followed by a postgraduate program in Asia–Europe Cultural Curatorship Studies at the University of Antwerp (2025). In the same year, they completed an internship at L’internationale Online.
