Ava Zevop

Ava Zevop (she/her) was born in Ljubljana, Yugoslavia, and currently lives in Brussels, Belgium. She is an artist and an independent researcher focusing on technological degrowth from the perspective of intersectional struggles, and global justice. Additionally, she participates in a group research project on post-colonial and post-socialist encounters in art discourse and infrastructure between Lithuania and Slovenia (with Sol Ballet and Julija Kekstaite). Most recently, she has been collaborating with iMAL in Brussels and has taken part in AMRO24. Her previous exhibitions include the solo shows Rise and Fail of Algorithmic Cultures (2023) at the Ravnikar Gallery Space and In the Beginning, There Was Static ... In the End, There Was the Webbed Wide World (2022) at osmo/za, as well as group exhibitions at the Design Museum Gent (2022), City Gallery Ljubljana (2021), and the 26th IFCA/MFRU, amongst others. She has also contributed to academic conferences on technology, migration and decoloniality such as ‘Digitized Migrants Conference’ in Istanbul (2022), STS Italia (2023) and ISA Rijeka (2024). Zevop is a member of artist cooperative Level Five in Brussels.
